| The Bainbridge Island Environmental Conference is an annual tradition that brings together our community with experts and practitioners to learn about the sustainability of our Island community and environment. This year’s conference will take place Sunday, March 29 at IslandWood.
The theme is Rising Tides, and participants will learn about the latest science behind sea level rise in Puget Sound, the real impacts already being felt on our Island, and the tools, policies, and community actions that can help us adapt. Through plenary talks, panel discussions, interactive breakout sessions and tabling with local organizations, participants will learn about how sea level rise affects habitats, parks, recreation, infrastructure, and more. Free field trips to take a deeper dive on these issues in local areas are offered on the Saturday before the conference.
